How to make a good numbered list ...

11 Tips to making a really good numbered list to be shared on any topic:

1. Keep it prime: The first thing to remember is irrespective of how many points you have for your topic, keep the number of points in the list to a prime number. It makes people feel that it is an all-inclusive list. Multiples of 5 and 10 are no more attractive.
2. How short to keep: Any number of points less than 7 makes it seem that you had no time in making the list and so made it short.
3. Not more than 15: If number of points exceeds 15 then it most probably would go unnoticed due to lack of time for the reader. However good the explanation is the number matters a lot.
4. No repetition: Avoid repetition. Be it in content, heading or any other aspect. People feel you are just doing it to fill the points.
5. Remove the junk: Just because you have a lot of matter don’t fit in a lot of information necessary or unnecessary into a single point.
6. Adding images: The recent trend has been to paste interesting and/or funny gifs to each point. Anyway try to put a picture within a point whenever the need is found. 
   
    
7. Heading: Each point should have a self-explanatory and a catchy heading or title. The content should back it up with necessary illustrations and facts.
8. Precision placement: Place the points strategically. The good ones in the beginning and end. Illustrations in the middle and other less important stuff in between.
9. Justify: Always reason why this point is necessary. It always helps in stressing the point and to impress it in the mind of the reader.
10. Humour: Good humour is always appreciated. Keeps the reader interested. But just don’t add humour for the sake of it.
11. Keep track: Most importantly make sure that you have ended your list with the number of points that you had mentioned in the beginning. Please don’t make a fool of yourselves.
